The Roaring Twenties
The 1920’s was a time for significant change in the United States; politically, economically, socially, and more. One way this can be viewed is in the flappers and the actions they took as well as and women’s changing roles at this time. In addition, consumerism as it brought benefits such as advertisement and buying on credit. Also, the 1920’s held the prohibition and eruption of crime that it caused, such as organized crime. Lastly, the 1920’s lead to development of a new national culture, which encompassed everything from belief systems, like fundamentalism, and a new era of popular culture with the popularity of jazz. Overall, the 1920’s were indeed a roaring decade.
